GECDIS

GECDIS is a Geographic Electronic Chart and Data Information System Software. GECDIS offers proven and integrated solutions for tuna fishing. This system is a powerful single interface navigational software, which displays and processes all your data enabling you to increase your productivity. It aids both the ship captain and the vessel owner in tactical planning and in on shore and off shore communication.

For Vessels:
GECDIS is a powerful decision-aid system, which processes satellite systems data temperatures, and catch logs statistics. Complete data integration with CATSAT satellite systems, GECDIS can display all CATSAT maps. GECDIS adds some useful layers:

• Weather forecast up to 7 days (pressure, wind and wave height) to better plan operations at sea.
• Previous Catch log reports in order to aid in finding a good fishing area location.
• Buoy and FAD (Fish Aggregating Devices) positioning and paths. Simultaneous recording of more than 200 buoy's paths.

This software also aids in Fleet Management. GECDIS is able to display the data for Route Planning, Port Entry Information, Provide Supply Information and can be integrated with Inmarsat C and Argos.

GECDIS's Statistical Function can Record Fishing Ground Condition, Catches Data Transportations, Provide weekly, monthly, and yearly reports, Voyage Number and Casting Number Analysis and Provide Historical Data.

Buoy Management can also be efficiently achieved with GECDIS to save fuel, record buoy positions and can be fully integrated with HF GPS or D+ Buoys.

GECDIS runs on a standard PC with Windows NT, 2000, or XP. Additional functions can be added such as the ability to display tide information, allow user to manage 3D views, radar interface and can also be integrated with AIS and ARPA.
