Congratulations to Fong Kuo on the signing of a new contract with Ying Rong Ocean Enterprises. The fishing company has ordered a new 550 Ton Purse Seiner which is to be delivered around the middle of 2005. This ship will be Fong Kuo's Hull no. 403.

Ching Fu successfully launched their H050, a 2100 CBM Purse Seiner being built for a Dutch Owner. The "Freisland" is scheduled to be delivered by the end of this year.

Steel Cutting was begun today on Fong Kuo's Hull no. 400, the second in a series of two 1100 Ton Purse Seiners being built for Koo's Fishing Company.

Ching Fu signed a contract today with Clearwater Fine Foods Inc. of Nova Scotia, Canada to build a 2700T Clam Harvesting and Processing Vessel. This 75.8 meter vessel is set to be delivered in the first half of 2006.

The first of a series of two 550 Ton Purse Seiners being built for a Taiwanese Owner at Fong Kuo shipyard began her steel cutting today. Fong Kuo's Hull no. 401 is scheduled to be delivered at the end of this year.

Fong Kuo Shipyard started the Steel Cutting today for their Hull No. 399, a 1100 Ton Purse Seiner ordered by Koo's Fishing Company.

Congratulations to the staff of WeeLee Panama S.A. and the crew of the oil tanker "Fong Seong 888"! Today we successfully passed the International Code for the Security of Ships and of Port Facilities (ISPS) inspection of compliance with the ISPS code. Our company was awarded today with the International Ship Security Certificate (ISSC). DNV Classification Society carried out our inspection today. Our company and vessel are now in compliance with International Maritime Organization's (IMO) ISPS Code well ahead of the mandatory compliance deadline of July 1, 2004. This concludes almost one year of hard work by both our staff and crew compiling, writing and implementing a Ship Security Plan for our oil tanker.

Today Fong Kuo/Ching Fu Shipyards were honored by a visit by the President of the Marshall Islands, His Excellency President Kessai Note. President Note was accompanied by his wife, First Lady Mary Note and their daughter Ms. Marissa Note. The delegation also included the Marshall Island's Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Honorable Gerald Zackios, his wife Mrs. Joti Zachios, Marshall Island's Ambassador to Taiwan, the Honorable Alex Bing, and his wife Mrs. Althea Bing and Taiwan's Ambassador to the Marshall Islands, Mr. and his wife, Mrs. . After a visit to the office, the President and his delegation toured both shipyards and boarded the newly completed tuna purse seiner vessel, H051 for a quick look around. President Note expressed a wish to form closer ties with the Taiwanese Fishing Industry and was very impressed with our vessel.

Ching Fu Shipbuilding delivered their Hull no. 51 today, a 2100 CBM Tuna Purse Seiner to a foreign owner. This vessel is the second in a series of two ships for this company. She will stay in port for another week or two, waiting for the visit of the President of Marshall Islands before departing for the high seas.
